Summary of Acts 1 and 2nd 

Act 1:

Hippolyta and Theseus are planning their wedding. Egeus they comes barging in, followed by Hermia, Lysander and Demetrius. Egeus starts complaining that her daughter will not marry Demetrius as she loves Lysander. Through Scene 1, everyone is arguing about who will marry you. Helena, who finds out about Lysander and Hermia eloping. The Mechanicals rehearse a play for the Royal Wedding.

Act 2:

Rage is brought between Oberon and Titania as they fight over the Indian Prince. Puck is ordered by Oberon to go and get the magic flower so he can anoint Titania’s and Lysander’s eyes. This is where the confusion with lovers begins.
